Actually it is more like 104,000,000 pages, but most people have a hard time with such big numbers

When we developed the code to develop a business directory using our Enhanced U.S. Business Database, we knew its potential was huge. The goal was to make sure that every business we had a record of would have their own web page, and that alone let us know that we would start out with 11,000,000 web pages.

47 Million Pages!

To get to those individual business web pages we also had to make sure Search Engines would be able to crawl the site easily.

So the drill down went like this:
1. Home Page
2. Choose a State
3. Choose a City or Choose a Category

When someone chose a State the first thing they would come across was the list of Cities that had businesses listed. There are over 26,000 cities.

From the State Page you could also choose from a list of over 4,000 categories for that particular State.

The math from these choices is minimal, compared to the whole of the project.

50 X 4,000 = 200,000 pages for State Categories, plus 26,000 pages for each city equals 226,000 pages.

However, the numbers grow when you drill down to the city level. Each city (26,000 of them) has a list of categories. Not every city has a business for every category, but out of 4,000+ categories if we take a conservative average estimate of 1,400 category pages for each city, that gives us 36,400,000 pages for city level categories.

The math now:
11,000,000 individual business pages
226,000 pages for State level categories
36,400,000 pages for City level categories
47,626,000 total pages (give or take a few million pages)

Using our custom mod rewrite to produce Search Engine Friendly URLs and folder structure, this package is a great opportunity to say you own such a large web site.
